Dennis S. Rito is a freelance photographer based in Manila, Philippines.

Rito was strongly influenced by documentary photography and his work varies from social issues such as poverty, human rights, music scene, culture and urbanity. Like a brush to a painter, Rito view photography as an extension of himself - a means of creative expression - either to appreciate, criticize, suggest, or provoke.

Rito’s work was featured in the PhilPhotography Network (online), Mabuhay Magazine (Philippine Airlines Inflight Magazine), 60th Philippine-American Jazz Festival (online). Likewise, Rito’s work ‘Undas’ has been shown in Larawanology III: A Public Photo Projection.

In 2007, Rito was 3rd Prize (Black & White Category) and Special Mention (Color Category) in the WHO Photo & Video Contest with the theme ‘Images of Health & Disability. Recently, Rito got an Honorable Mention in Px3 Prix de la Photographie Paris 2008, Human Condition Photography Competition.
